EMERGENCY SHELTER ...
TABITA with ELANA & HER CHILDREN
THIS FAMILY NOW LIVES IN A SAFE WARM HOUSE
THIS HOUSE WAS IN DIRE NEED OF REPAIR
'ALL FIXED UP'
An elderly lady was living in this house in dire need of repair.  Some older houses in Romania were constructed with mud brick.  After a few years water begins to erode the foundation and the walls begin to collapse.  This was happening to this ladies house.  She had slept under a plastic table cloth for some time to keep dry because the roof leaked and was falling in.  Tabita Ministries, with the help from the Biserica Crestina Baptista Ciacova repaired the walls, poured cement on the dirt floor and fixed the roof.  She is so gratefull and can hardly believe her good fortune.

Repairing this house was made possible because of financial partners in this ministry.  Please consider a partnership with us.

Lack of finances for maintenance and poor building quality prior to the 1980’s has left many of Romania’s houses in dilapidated condition.  Many families live in extremely crowded conditions.  The communist era apartment buildings are in serious condition needing major renovations to the heating and water systems, roofs and exteriors.   Unprecedented flooding in the past few years has also left thousands without homes.
The water and heating systems in many cities are centralized.  The water is piped above ground, as pictured above, to all the major apartment buildings.  The pipes are rusted and the water comes out of the tap a dirty rust color.  The systems are in extreme need of repair.  Many times the apartments are without heat because of break downs and lack of maintenance.
